Angela Mund DNP, CRNA, AANA Vice President
Bio:
Dr. Angela Mund received a certificate in Nurse Anesthesia from the
Minneapolis Veteran’s Affairs School of Nurse Anesthesia in 1998. She graduated
from the University of Minnesota with a Master’s of Science degree in 1999 and a
Doctor of Nursing Practice degree in 2008.
Dr. Mund has presented at state and national meetings on diverse topics
including the surgical management of cardiovascular disorders, evidence based
preoperative assessment, cardiovascular physiology and pharmacology, and health
care policy. She is a published author on the subject of healthcare policy and patient
advocacy.
Dr. Mund is currently an Associate Professor and Division Director at the
Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) Anesthesia for Nurses Program. She
has served on college and university committees at MUSC including being elected as
President of the Faculty Senate.
She has served in leadership positions on several national American
Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) committees and on two state nurse
anesthesia boards of directors. Dr. Mund served as the AANA Region 2 Director for 3
years and is the current AANA Vice President |
