Dr Angela R Mund, DNP, CRNA

Bio:

Dr Angela Mund received a certificate in Nurse Anesthesia from the Minneapolis Veteran’s Affairs School of Nurse Anesthesia in 1998.  She graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Master of Science degree in 1999 and a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree in 2008.

Dr Mund is currently an Associate Professor and Division Director at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) Anesthesia for Nurses Program.  She has served on college and university committees at MUSC including being elected as President of the Faculty Senate.

Dr Mund has served in leadership positions on several national American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) committees and on two state nurse anesthesia boards of directors.  She served as the AANA Region 2 Director for 3 years and the AANA Vice President.  She is current AANA President-Elect.


Dr Garry Brydges, PhD, DNP, MBA, CRNA, ACNP-BC, FAAN

Bio:  

Dr Garry Brydges is the Chief Nurse Anesthetist and Director of Anesthesia at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.  He is also adjunct faculty at the University of Texas and Baylor College of Medicine Nurse Anesthesia Programs.  

Dr Brydges graduated from the University of Texas Nurse Anesthesia Program and was the recipient of the Agatha Hodgins Outstanding Graduate Award.  He has extensive academic background, which includes Acute Care Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of Texas before nurse anesthesia training, concentrating in cardiovascular surgery.  He completed his DNP at Texas Christian University in 2011, focusing research in Preoperative Considerations for the Heart Failure Patient with Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy.

Dr Brydges is a past AANA President and currently serves as an NBCRNA Director.
